How to make an edible brooch

Brooches gives such a nice touch to cakes and they are so easy to make. These molds can be bought on e-bay and even at Micheal's stores. To create these, you can use fondant or gumpaste. You can add them to your bows or simply alone. Whether you use them on a cake or cupcakes the look is absolutely amazing. Here is my way of make edible brooches.

Step 1
Place a piece of fondant or gumpaste in the middle of the cavity that you will be using. Using a palette knife, carefully remove the excess paste and smooth the edges. Then, place your mold in the freezer for couple of minutes. (this will help your fondant to release from your mold)
  Step 2
After a few minutes, turn the mould over and bend gently to release your brooch. Let it air dry for couple of minutes before painting.
  Step 3
1.2.
Paint your brooch using gold or silver edible luster dust first. Then, if you have pearls, paint them using pearl edible luster dust.
