This is such a cute way to decorate your cakes. It is perfect for theme cake such as Hawaiian. This technique can be made with fondant or gumpaste. Hope you enjoy the blog. For more ideas on cake decorating Subscribe to my Youtube channel for FREE by simply following the link below.

Step 1
Roll out beige fondant into a small tube.
Step 2
Using a sharp knife, scare your cylindrique piece randomly. In order to create a realistic bamboo stick, make sure not to scare your pieces all in the same area.
Step 3

Using your fingers, pinch your fondant on both sides of each scares.  (see picture)
Step 4
Create a crease on both ends of each tube using a pointy tool or even the back of a small brush.
Step 5
Brush a small amount of brown edible powder lust all around. (this will give a wood effect)
Step 6
Before doing the next step, glue each piece to your cake by using water, edible glue or even candy melts.
Step 7
Brush a light coat of black edible powder lust on each creases and also at the top.
