how to make a fondant hockey net

In this mini blog, I will show you how easy it is to make a hockey net. This technic may you done with fondant or gumpaste. This is a great addition for a hockey theme cake. You may also use these as cupcake toppers by simply making them in a smaller size. Hope you enjoy! Step 1
Roll out red fondant and create this shape. The size of your shape will depend on how big you want your piece to be. (the larger your piece is, the bigger your net will be).
 Step 2
Let your piece harden for at least 24 hours. You may use the end of a glass to keep your shape intact.
Step 3
Create this shape, using red fondant. The length should be the same size as of your previous shape created on step 2. Let it dry and harden for at least 24 hours.
  Step 4
Using a clean brush, apply a small amount of melted candy melts on each ends of your piece and glue both pieces together.
Step 5

Cut stripes of white fondant.( The smaller your stripes are, the better it will look). Using a small amount of water and a clean brush glue each piece  diagonally from one end to another. (see picture 1) Then, follow the same step as of picture 2
