Hi, i'm excited to show you my step by step Hello Kitty cake pop blog and tutorial. These yummy desserts look complicated to make but are very very very easy to make. If you follow my tips and tricks, watch my youtube video and pratice a little, your cake pops will look as professional as bakers.
Melt white candy melts in a plastic container. Make sure that the container is deep enough to dip your cake pop. Melt 30 seconds at the time in the microwave, stirring between each interval.
Tip: Use a plastic containers instead of glass. The glass will get hot and will continue cooking your chocolate even after you take it out of the microwave and will be difficult to work with.
After baking and making your cake pop mixture, create an oval shape to make the head.
Dip a lollipop stick into the white chocolate then insert into the bottom of the cake pop and let it dry.
To create the ears, take two chocolate chips and using a toothpick put a little bit of melted chocolate at the bottom and then place place them on each side of the cake pop. Let them completly dry, the chocolate will act like a glue .
Once the ears are dry, dip the entire cake pop into the chocolate. Remove the cake pop and tap gently on the side of your container, this will take off the extra chocolate. Let them dry standing up in a styrofoam block.
You can start decorating your cake pop as soon as it is completly dry.
You can use different candy to make the eyes and the nose. I used black fondant that i rolled into a mini ball which I flattened with my fingers to create the eyes and a yellow mini candy for the nose.
The eyes can be attached with water or edible glue and the nose can be glued with edible glue or melted chocolate.
There are numerous ways to create the whiskers. You can draw your whiskers by simply using an black edible ink pen or attach mini stripes of black fondant. You can glue them with water using a toothpick or edible glue using a small brush.
Finish your cute cake pop by attaching a bow with candy or fondant.
Tip: To attach all pieces that are made with fondant, you can use all of the following, edible glue, water or a tiny little bit of melted chocolate. Take note that, water on fondant will act like glue so this is a great way of saving money.
